This windmill at Thorpness in Suffolk, was moved to this location in the 1920's to pump water for the local village that had been developed from a small community of a few fishing huts. This post mill had originally been located at Sizewell, which is a few miles away, and is now a visitor centre for the local tourist trade. The site is overlooked by what is locally known as the 'House in the Clouds', an enormous water tower that was 'disguised' to look like a house!
